Mental health app privacy policies among the weakest

An analysis by Mozilla found mental health apps have some of the weakest privacy protections, and many apps' privacy policies don't allow opting in or out of data sharing and can be changed at any time. Hospital tests remote monitoring of patients with cancer

Oncologists at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus are conducting a series of studies on remote patient monitoring to detect early signs of febrile neutropenia, a potentially fatal complication of cancer treatment that usually responds well to timely antibiotic therapy. Machine learning may improve lung cancer surgery outcomes

Natural language processing and machine learning that mine computed tomography reports and other data in EHRs accurately predicted lymph node metastasis prior to surgery for resectable non-small cell lung cancer, according to a study in JMIR Medical Informatics.
